Lightbulb (fragment) by Michael Craig Martin in 2015
The photo shows a lightbulb that has been edited to look like it was drawn on a computer, the photographer/artist used colours that complemented each other to draw people to his work. The most important part of the photo is the lightbulb as it was the most ‘multicoloured’ part of the work. I think this photo was just taken at a home as there is no lighting involved in it and it has been manipulated to look unreal or drawn. I think that a natural lighting has been used to take the photo, the light source affects the photo as there would’ve been a ‘white’ shine in the photo. The angle of the photo makes it look like the photo was taken with the lightbulb lying down on a flat surface. The colours are what attracted me to the photo, I like the photo because it is quite unusual I also think that the block colours make it very different to other art that I have seen as there is no shading to even give it a real look. |
